CHATWOOD Farm
About chatwood
Named after Niki’s longtime and top horse in the sport, Chatou 7, Chatwood Farm is a very special place for many reasons. Niki and Chatou’s partnership started in 2019, and although it had a slow start as the pair got to know each other, Niki credits Chatou with teaching her many invaluable lessons both in and out of the show ring. Niki feels forever indebted to Chatou and considers him her horse of a lifetime.
With inspiration from Chatou, Chatwood Farm was officially founded after purchasing a property in Wellington, Florida. The main goal of Chatwood Farm is to continue to grow the sales program Niki has been carefully building over the past few years, in addition to training a select few clients. Since starting in the sport, Niki has found so much joy in watching her prior mounts go on to teach their next riders the important lessons they taught her. Now, with a property of her own, Niki is expanding the sales and training program. She currently works alongside David Power who helps to manage sales, source horses, as well as coaching Niki and other students at the top levels of the sport.
In the fall of 2024, Niki proudly opened up a second base of Chatwood Farm, located in Miami, Florida at Florida Equestrian Center. The aim is to serve clients living in the Miami area - giving them local access to the highest quality training & care, with additional access to stalls at their Wellington base. At Chatwood, the team provides elite care and training to help you achieve your equestrian goals while maintaining a fun atmosphere for learning. The team strongly believe that teamwork and a positive environment are essential for both riders and horses to thrive.
Chatwood aims to be a boutique, but high level, sales and training program that has a special eye for the details. Past sales have gone on to compete and place at the North American Youth Championships, excel at the Grand Prix level, help riders move up the ranks through the Low, Medium & High Junior/Amateur division, compete in the country’s top equitation finals, and more. When choosing horses to suit the sales division at Chatwood, it comes down to a few things Niki and her team deem to be essential. A great brain, a forgiving attitude, a competitiveness to be just as game as you when the time comes. Potential and talent are the building blocks for any great horse, especially when looking to purchase reliable horses that will be sold on to their forever homes.
In addition to growing the sales and training division at Chatwood, Niki also plans to continue her climb in the ranks while competing in Wellington in the winter months and traveling across the globe in other months. Home base in Wellington, however, will be the new farm at Chatwood. Located on Appaloosa Trail in central Wellington, the property stood out to Niki, who enjoys exploring real estate in her spare time. The property features an 11-stall barn, a walker, large sand arena, and more.
Niki is thrilled to have a home base in Wellington, and the birthplace of Chatwood Farm.
